Peter Norman Sørensen

Information economics, financial markets, herding behaviour, reputation models.

Peter is a professor of Finance at the university’s Department of Economics, where he has been employed since 1998. Originally educated in Mathematics and Economics, he applies game-theoretic models with asymmetric information to better understand economic and financial phenomena. Since his PhD studies at MIT, he has been particularly interested in information-based models of herding behaviour. Together with his main co-author, Marco Ottaviani from the University of Bocconi, he has also developed models of the biased behavior of experts, who seek to convey an impression that they are well informed.
